This is Fizgo's own guide, based on the linked provider information. It is not an independent ranking or a hands-on product test. Check current fees, availability and device requirements before signing a contract.
Start with your working day, not a terminal's name.
An air-conditioning technician needs equipment that travels with the tools. In a salon, several people may handle payments. At a busy counter, a payment device that remains at the checkout may matter more than using a phone needed elsewhere. These are operating decisions before they are brand decisions.
Write down three typical payment situations from last week. Where did payment happen? Who handled it? Which document did the customer receive? Different answers may point towards different tools, rather than one device that must do everything.
- At the customer's location: portability, a compatible phone and connectivity.
- In a salon: who takes payments, on which device and for which business?
- At a counter: a dedicated payment point and its place in the existing till workflow.
A phone, a dedicated terminal or both?
Phone-based acceptance can avoid buying an additional physical terminal. You still need to check the device, operating system, provider eligibility and connectivity. Having NFC does not establish that every function in a particular payment app will work on your phone.
A dedicated terminal may suit an operation that wants a separate payment device available at a fixed point. A mixed setup can also make sense when occasional off-site payments sit alongside a regular counter. Verify any connection between the products; two familiar brand names do not establish integration.
Different products do different jobs.
An acquiring provider handles payment acceptance. Business software can organise the work around that payment. A receipt or fiscal cash-register system handles a separate document workflow. They may connect, but they do not automatically become the same service.
Comparing Fizgo's subscription fee alone against an acquiring percentage would therefore be misleading. Acquiring charges may be separate. A document called a receipt also does not, by that name alone, prove Hungarian fiscal-receipt status or NAV reporting.
Compare roles and conditions, not a universal winner.
The table below identifies documented options and questions to verify. It does not score brands. Fizgo and a payment provider may have complementary roles, but only through connections that are actually supported.
A provider's product page describes that provider's product. It does not prove the same functionality is available through its Fizgo integration. Check devices, payment methods and document handling for the exact combination you plan to use.

Request the complete cost on like-for-like assumptions.
Monthly card turnover and the number of payments are different inputs. Many small transactions can produce a different fee picture from a few large ones. Card mix, contract terms, minimum charges and temporary offers can also affect the comparison.
Ask for a quote that brings software, acquiring, hardware, applicable minimums, account or payout charges and tax treatment together. Do not compare only the largest percentage printed on a website. A quiz answer covering a broad turnover band cannot be a personalised quotation.
- Use the same expected monthly turnover and transaction count for every quote.
- Separate one-off equipment costs from recurring charges.
- Check when promotions end and which terms apply afterwards.
When might Fizgo fit, and when should you look elsewhere?
Explore Fizgo if you accept payments in person, want to record cash too and want your own receipts within a mobile workflow. On a suitable paid plan, reporting of receipts issued in Fizgo can be automated after a successfully verified NAV connection.
If you only need card acceptance, a standalone provider product may be sufficient. Invoicing, substantial inventory management or a mandatory fiscal cash-register workflow requires an appropriate system. Fizgo does not issue invoices at launch or replace a legally required cash register.
A useful question beats a generic winner.
Before choosing, name what is missing from your working day: card acceptance, receipt issuance, equipment or a connection between systems. Something that already works may not need replacing. Clarifying a process can sometimes solve the problem without changing provider.
Our short quiz helps organise that decision. It does not rank the whole market for you. It suggests a starting point and the conditions you still need to verify for a business operating in Hungary.
